Thornehead Guide Service was founded in 1995 and is owned and operated by Capt. Mike Andreotti.

Mike is a U.S. Coast Guard Captain and Registered Maine Guide specializing in hunting, fishing & commercial boat operation. Mike has successfully guided clients on hunting and fishing excursions for over 10 years. Mike possesses over 30 years of waterfowling experience and is passionate about sea duck hunting. He looks forward to sharing his expertise with other fellow waterfowl hunters.

  • Best deposit/refund policy in the business. You will not be charged if your hunt is postponed due to severe weather or sea conditions. We will apply your deposit to a future hunt simply because we want you to get out on the water and enjoy your hunt with us.
  • We only typically allow up to 4 hunters per trip. This allows us to offer you personal service, increases safety, and allows us to be more flexible with our hunting locations.
  • You choose accommodations and dining that fits your budget. We have everything from 4 star hotels and fine restaurants to economy motels and fast food in the Mid-Coast region of Maine. We are happy to assist you
    with your food and lodging needs.
  • Airport transportation from Portland to the
    Brunswick area is available. Inquire for more
    information.

“Thornehead” comes from
a unique piece of property
in North Bath, Maine along
the scenic Kennebec River
at the south end of the
legendary waterfowling
grounds of Merrymeeting
Bay. Thornehead is now
a land preserve set
aside for the
enjoyment of
the people.
